The Obama Doctrine: Don’t lead … At Any Cost

Well, we now know. We have a “Hamlet on the Potomac” in our Oval Office. If you listen closely you can hear Obama twisting himself into knots asking the wrenching question: “To lead… or NOT to lead?” (Our apologies to Bill Shakespeare!)

As America’s regal eagle, King Obama resembles Denmark’s overly sensitive prince, Hamlet, in so many ways. Obama never seems quite able to make up his mind. He pines away in the shadow of such great presidents a Ronald Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt, James Monroe, et al.

Obama doesn’t seem to understand the consequences of all that soul searching he is attributed by his flunkies. Nor does he seem to understand that while he “takes his time” and “considers carefully,” bodies keep piling up and circumstances that claimed those bodies (and will claim more) continue to worsen.

I can’t shake the feeling that the escalating body count comes in a distant second, in priority, to Obama’s “electability” in 2012.

Every President of the United States gets to define his own “doctrine.” My personal favorite was James Monroe’s, which came to be known, of course, as the Monroe Doctrine. It served the country well -- until we began to elect “internationalist” Presidents, like Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack Hussein Obama. All three of these Presidents relied heavily upon the so-called (or as a TV commentator said over the weekend -- “fabled”) International Community, to either solve problems around the globe or take the lead in seeking solutions to those problems.

It didn’t, and it doesn’t, work.

When Obama went to the United Nations – FIRST – to ask PERMISSION to intervene in Libya and DID NOT GO FIRST to the US Congress where lies the constitutional power to declare war, it was clear where his allegiance lay/lies.

Mr. Obama has said he considers himself a citizen of the world. (Could it be that Obama is the first citizen of the world, not a citizen of the US, to hold the office of US President?? We will learn the truth of this only after his days in office are ended.) If that is so, then he was acting within character when he ignored the US constitution and the US Congress. Seems to me these are grounds for impeachment.

Watching Obama make a decision, especially one that involves US foreign policy to any degree, IS like watching Hamlet wrestling through every line of the play. In short order, the reader, or observer of the play, wants to take the screwed-up prince and give him a swift kick in the butt to reset what passes for his mind.

I’ll let you in on a little secret of mine: I don’t think Obama is all that bright. Nosiree, I don’t. See: I learned in grammar school that a fellow with an average IQ and an expansive vocabulary with the ability to speak authoritatively -- and do so in public -- could con folks into believing he was smarter than the average Joe.

Well, it’s not really a con -- if you don’t present yourself as smarter that other folks.

It is the nature of the human animal to seek out a well-spoken leader (Oftimes mistakenly perceived as an “Alfa” personality) to follow. Yes, humans DO act more like sheep than I am comfortable with.

Problem is – our reluctant leader, our Shakespearian prince in Washington, DID present himself as smarter than everyone else. (At least his cohort of socialist fellow travelers did.) The risk involved when one does that is simply that … at some point … your bluff is going to be called.

OBAMA’S BLUFF HAS BEEN CALLED and it turns out – between Obama and Hillary Clinton – Hillary’s testosterone levels are much higher!

Speaking of Presidential doctrines, I think Ronald Reagan’s was every bit as clear as that of Teddy Roosevelt. Put simply, Reagan’s doctrine was: You harm an American, anywhere in the world, and we will come after you. You cannot hide. It is short and sweet and to the point. The world knew that when Reagan said it … Reagan meant it!

George H. W. Bush’s doctrine was to follow the UN’s direction -- and he did. Of Course, we had to turn around and go right back to Iraq, to finish the job, when his son took office.

Unfortunately, it now appears that Obama is going to imitate George H. W. Bush and not take out Gaddafi, as Bush the First did not take out Hussein, therefore setting the stage for a second Libya war some months or years down the road. Frankly, I am counting on the British SAS to send that Libyan thorn in the side of the world to settle up with Allah at the earliest opportunity.

The George W. Bush Doctrine was “hit ‘em first!” It was to fight them “over there” so we didn’t have to fight them “over here.” The thing I don’t like about it is our feeble attempts at nation building. We might have been able to carry it off in the 1940’s and 1950’s with Germany and Japan, but today -- we suck at it!

Bill Clinton’s Doctrine was to lob a few cruise missiles into a reputed aspirin factory, after dark, when no body was in the building, which, reports tell us, was an abandoned building, anyway. And Clinton insisted our warplanes over Serbia had to drop bombs from such a high altitude that the bomb runs were a useless waste of munitions.

Obama’s Doctrine is to first dither while the bodies pile up -- and then, when all else fails, persuade someone else to do it. Then, find a way to take credit for it – if it goes well, of course.

Understand: I did not want America involved in Libya, in Egypt, or in any of the Middle Eastern countries now in flames. I am not unconvinced that the whole blow-up in the Islamic nations of the Middle East was designed as an old “draw play” worthy of my Native American ancestors, to draw a weakened America, with a decidedly weak President, into a unending, continually deepening, fray that would suck the life out of our economy and eventually collapse our government.

Talk about having the right man, in the right place, at the right time! For our Middle Eastern enemies Obama was a godsend -- the same for our domestic enemies, as well.

America, today, resembles a great ship caught in a storm, rudderless, and being blown onto the rocks of doom by the winds of change brought us by the Obama Regime.

Conservatives are desperately tossing sea anchors over the side hoping to slow the great ship’s eminent doom until a new captain can be elected, the rudder repaired, and a new course stirred taking the massive vessel away from the shoals of certain disaster.

To affect the rescue of America we need a candidate for President who actually has a chance at winning. NONE of those expected to announce as candidates stand a snowball’s chance in Hades, in August, against the great socialist machine behind Obama.

In my opinion, people of faith would do well to petition the deity to whom they pray to mercifully cut short our chastisement and send America a leader who will lead us in the quest to restore America’s greatness and once again illuminate the “great city set on a hill” as a beacon to all mankind.

Myth speaks of a time of freedom in America, a time yet whispered about among “old-timers” in this modern, post-constitutional, socialist era of decay in America.

Long before the reign of “King Barak Obama,” (He of which so little is known) comes the storied legend of a high court created by the ancients to insure the government created by the people of the country ruled by the laws set forth in its founding documents. Some say it was known as “The SUPREME Court.”

There are those who dispute the legend today, however. They declare it is only the laws created in the court of The Great King Obama that carry the weight of the sovereign’s will and enforcement by the king’s minions.

It is said that far, far, out in the hinterlands of the country there exist wizen old storytellers who claim to have actually heard of a document called “The Constitution.” They say it was beloved by ancient citizens even though they changed it well over two score times.
Modern Americans take comfort in the knowledge that their beneficent ruler, King Obama, (The Divine Being be praised!) the compassionate one, has decided in his deep concern for the unwashed masses, the serfs of his kingdom, that he, “The Wise One,” will decide the laws to be obeyed and the laws that will be enforced by the Royal Justice Ministry.

Kings Obama, “The Enlightened one” has decreed that in his kingdom, anyone can become “married. Man can marry woman. Woman can marry woman. Man can marry animal. Woman can marry animal … ad infinitum.

Those who carry the king’s dispatches have praised the wisdom of His Eminence, King Obama. Town criers, all over the Obama Kingdom, have extolled the courage of the king’s action in this startling demonstration of post constitutional rights no longer guaranteed by a living, breathing, document that is now believed to finally be dead. In the words of the dispatch carriers: “Long Live The King!”

In the shadow of windmills and solar panels Americans huddle for warmth and protection around crackling fires kindled from a black stone ruled poisonous to the planet -- and to Obama’s people. Beneath their feet sloshes oceans of a flammable liquid brimming with energy now outlawed by Obama’s Protector’s of the Earth Ministry. (May Earth Mother be praised!)

The huddled masses look on with wide-eyed wonderment as “Nature Wizards” of King Obama’s court continue to prepare them for a great heating up of the earth while temperatures plunge and winter’s harsh grasp continues to extend its life threatening reign longer with each passing year.

Some dare to inquire, openly, as to the elementary intelligence employed by Great King Obama’s “Wizards of Weather” in denying that, which they say, is obvious -- even to the kingdom’s idiots, and that is that the earth is growing colder – not hotter.

Those who serve the great king at the grand “People’s Palace” on Obama Mount in the royal city (recently renamed “Obamagrad”) on the banks of the “Soetoro River” (formerly the Potomac River) continue to prostrate themselves in obeisance to His Royal Majesty even at the cost of their high positions in the mighty king’s court.

Meanwhile, in the forests and swamps of the South, in the plains and on the mountains of the Midwest and West, and atop the mounds of drifted snow in the north, defrocked priests of the recently outlawed religion, Christianity, continue to proclaim something called “The Gospel” and warn that worshipping the socialist state instead of the One True God is blasphemy and the wages of this gross sin is the death of the nation and eternal damnation for that nation’s people. (All nonsense, of course!)

Obama’s “Ministry of the Socialist State Religion,” it is said, has announced its agents are “collecting” these rogue religionists and detaining them, permanently, in the Kingdom’s Re-Education Camps. So far, none of those Re-Ed Camps can be found, though, we are assured they are secure in undisclosed locations somewhere in the deserts of the southwest.

Even so, modern, socialist, America can rest assured our Great King Obama (He who speaks unceasingly) is leading the once premier nation on the globe back to its former greatness and a realization of the American Dream through national Collectivism, Socialism, and Marxism the NEW holy trinity of the American state religion founded by our “Warrior of the Faith,” Great King Obama.

The powerful Labor Guilds of America assure that King Obama’s reign is secure from the insane maniacs who continue to rabble rouse in the name of a democratic representative government and continuously demand elections which, as we all know, were suspended, indefinitely, for the safety and security of the people of Obama’s Kingdom.

Not to worry. We are assured that King Obama’s Ministry of Obamaland’s Security will be swift in their duty to neutralize such threats to the people’s security and the security of the kingdom. Even those who may be enjoying the largess of the king’s Obamacare alchemists in the dozens of “ObamaCare Tent Treatment Centers,” scattered across the great kingdom will be dealt with, as well.

Who needs a “constitution” when all American’s needs are met by King Obama’s gracious, generous, and kindly ministrations from the cradle to the grave -- no matter how short a span that might be.

Remember, America: Sacrifice is good. Fairness is good. Redistribution of your wealth is good. We must all work for the survival of the Obama Kingdom.

Forget about the myth of a US Constitution. We are assured by the Obama Kingdom Library that no such document exists, if it ever did.

“Engineers began loading fuel rods into a nuclear reactor on Iran's southern coast Saturday, a milestone that puts the long-delayed plant within a few weeks of operation, Iranian state television reported.

John R. Bolton, the Bush administration's former United Nations envoy, made waves and set off war jitters last week after he said that Israel was running out of time to bomb the plant before the fuel cells were loaded, or otherwise risk creating a radioactive cloud that would harm too many civilians.

Iran countered with its own threat. "In that case, we will lose a power plant, but Israel's existence will be in danger," said Iranian Defense Minister Brig. Gen Ahmad Vahidi.

Iran could theoretically make bombs by extracting plutonium from the reactor's spent fuel rods, although Russia has vowed to keep a close tab on the plant and recover any such material and experts doubt such an outcome.”

"Resistance of the Iranian nation along with their independence-seeking spirit as well as their strong support for their officials have led to the completion of the Bushehr power plant project," Iran's Atomic Energy Organization chief, Ali Akbar Salehi, told reporters. (SOURCE)


And of this makes the Islam Bomb an imminent possibility.

Back in May of 2008, we wrote that if Iran were to lay down her arms, remove her troops from Iraq, back away from the Straits of Hormuz, stop threatening the free flow of oil from the Middle East, cut off funding and supplying terrorists in Gaza and Lebanon and the other trouble spots around the globe, and basically, behave herself… then, we might be view her in a different light.

But, as long as Iran’s mad mullahs and hallucinating henchmen continue to prance and preen, shine their shields and rattle their sabers, any attempt, on the part of the Obama Regime (or any other nation at which their vitriol is directed) to talk with them is viewed as appeasement… and rightly so.

Since the beginning of warfare between tribes there has always been those who want to try talking to the enemy tribe in an attempt avoiding open combat. They are, inevitably, the weakest members of the threatened tribe. Unfortunately, it is their protestations that “peace at any price” has cost more lives, in the long run, than would have been lost had the battle begun immediately and ended quickly with one tribe, or the other, wining decisively.

Appeasement does two things: It demonstrates the appeasing side’s weakness and fear and it allows the threatening side to grow stronger and bolder and even more determined to put the pip-squeak nation, begging for peace, out of it’s misery.

Even inferring that one might talk to Iran, if one were in a position of power from which to do so, does the nation a disservice. It demonstrates the naiveté, the inexperience, and the lack of security in one’s ability to lead a nation of free people who went to war against a world superpower to gain their freedom and have fought ever since to maintain their freedom.

A great nation does not negotiate peace with another nation threatening war against it. A great nation swats the offending nation, as one would a fly, then dictates the terms of peace to THEM. Great leaders understand that. “Pretenders to Greatness” have never understood that. History records great nations and great leaders. Pretenders to greatness MAY gain mention in the footnotes of history.

So, as Obama’s diplomatic elite urge appeasement of Iran by “talking” -- understand they are not representative of the vast majority of the American people who had much rather act as men, standing on their feet in defense of their nation, than as weaklings on their knees, exposing their necks to the sword of the enemy.

Courage begets greatness. Fear begets timidity. Timidity gives birth to acts of appeasement. When facing an enemy determined to destroy the US, which they refer to as “The Great Satan,” there is no place for timidity in the Office of the President of the United States.

The article below entitled: “Socialism and Obama” was first published in September of 2008… before the Presidential Election in which B. H. Obama was elected President of the United States. As you can see, we had Mr. Obama pegged for the socialist/communist he turned out to be.

It STILL is a source of persistent concern for me that the American electorate could have been so willfully BLIND to Mr. Obama’s communist sympathies, which he now flaunts through the policies he has enacted in his very first year in Office. As a result, the United States has, very nearly, collapsed -- finding itself in the worst financial shape it has experienced since the Great Depression of the last century! THIS is what Socialism does! THIS is what Communism does!

Even today, in January of 2010, the US is teetering on the cusp of a second recession which, if it happens,will render the country destitute.

I find it very difficult to empathize with my fellow Americans who opine and moan that they voted for Obama, not knowing he was a socialist/communist! I am compelled to ask the burning question: “Where the hell WERE you, then?” As you can see in the article below we trumpeted it from the rooftops of the nation!

It is too late now to correct the national mistake made last November. The damage done to the US will take generations to repair, IF it CAN be repaired. In the meantime, we will have no choice but to suffer the pain we have brought upon ourselves - and make no mistake about it: WE DID THIS TO OURSELVES!

This coming November, if the Obama Regime allows it, we will have the national Mid-Term Elections. If the American voter has any sense left, AT ALL, he/she/they will flood to the polls and vote out of office every incumbent who supported the Obama Regime in ANY WAY, and to any degree. If we truly want to save America, we will do that. If we don’t do it, then America is finished. Her greatness will be a thing of the past. Her glory will fade like that of ancient Rome, and her exceptional history will forever be relegated to that place where mankind stores his hoard of myths and legends. The lofty perch of world leadership will be vacated while humanity waits in nervous trepidation for America’s successor.

It most certainly IS true that democracies are their own worst enemies. For democracies run the risk of making dumb, hurtful, mistakes in choosing leadership.

Mistakes at the ballot box can destroy a democracy -- as America is learning today. It is a costly lesson. And worse, it may yet be unlearned! We won’t know until after the polls close in November.

This should come as no surprise to anyone. The democrat/socialists are currently in charge of the legislative branch of the US government. If they manage to get a socialist in the Oval Office, you can bet the Supreme Court is next. Then, what’s left? Think about it.

The big question American voters have been asking is: “Are we Americans ready for a “rookie” in the White House?” I submit to you (as have a number of other conservative scribes) the question ought to be: “Are Americans ready for a socialist in the White House?”

Obama is the most liberal senator in the US Senate. We know this from his record. We should all understand, especially Americans supporting Obama, that we are asking for socialist laws and socialist programs to be pushed through the Congress of the US if we have Obama in the Oval Office and a “veto-proof” Democratic Congress.

John Voight, an Academy Award-winning actor well known for his humanitarian work said the following in an op-ed piece titled: “My Concerns For America. Obama sowing socialist seeds in young people”. Mr. Voight wrote the piece recently for The Washington Times: “If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way.” You can read the entire article at:

Look, socialism does not work! Oh, it looks great on paper, but in practice it corrupts and corrodes and finally rots a country’s core until that country collapses in on itself. History has taught us that. But, if you have not been taught history and you are ignorant of the trail of collapsed socialist countries littering the landscape of human history then, yes, you may find socialism’s promises compelling. For those of us who have studied history, and (at my age), have lived history, it scares the hell out of us! We have watched our beloved country, over the past few years, drift ever closer to European State Socialism… and it is frightening.

Mr. Obama, and the democrat/socialists, currently in charge of our government, worship(s) the ideals of socialism. They talk of “fairness’ and “redistribution of the national wealth” (and of individual wealth), of government run “universal healthcare”, and bigger and bigger government wielding more and more power over individual’s lives. And then… there is Obama’s embrace of the United Nations.

Ever hear of something called The Global Poverty Act? It is Senate Bill s2433 introduced by Obama on December 7th, of 2007. The bill is supposed to compel (require) the President of the US to devise and implement strategies to promote the reduction of global poverty, and even eliminate extreme global poverty, and to promote the achievement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people worldwide, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day." A high sounding goal, right? Well, what will such a plan cost the US taxpayers? How about 845 billion US dollars (spread over thirteen years), over and above the foreign aid we already provide for struggling nations and peoples around the globe? And, even more troubling… where will that money come from? Of course, it will come from the pockets of you and me and the other US taxpayers. I don’t know about you, but, to me, the Global Poverty Act sounds like just another way to buy friends. As Mr. Cary says: “In other words, other nations will like us better if we give them our money”.In an article by Cliff Kincaid at the Accuracy in Media website titled: “Obama’s International Socialist Connections”, Mr. Kincaid says: “Obama's socialist backing goes back at least to 1996, when he received the endorsement of the Chicago branch of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) for an Illinois state senate seat… DSA describes itself as the largest socialist organization in the United States and the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International. The Socialist International (SI) has what is called "consultative status" with the United Nations. In other words, it works hand-in-glove with the world body.” You can read the entire article at:

Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of this republic, is credited with having said: “When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.” Franklin was, of course, correct.

When one looks at the decided drift of the US toward socialism and the Obama juggernaut pushing with all it’s might in that same direction, one must ask… have we reached the end of the US Republic?

If you follow the scribbling of this scribe (J. D. Longstreet) then you know I IMMEDIATELY DUBBED ObamaCare AS SOCIALISM. Now comes a fellow commentator to set me straight. Alan Caruba identifies it correctly -- COMMUNISM.

Mr. Caruba has been scrutinizing the Obama Regime and the rogue Congress now in Washington and he identifies their machinations as that of a flat out communist government rather than a democratic government reflecting the will of the people as a representative republic should -- and -- as the US Constitution demands.

Mr. Caruba has spent many years of his life observing the efforts of the government of the US, both domestically and internationally, and he has concluded the current crop of politicians in Washington has strayed from their constitutionally mandated role. They are now dictating to the American people with no regard for the wants and needs of the Americans who once were their constituents but now are relegated to the role of serfs in the newly invented communist feudal system set up by the Obama Regime's system of all powerful Czars who rule this nation from the shadows.

The Communist influence on Obama in his past is just overwhelming. Apparently he learned lessons from his recorded association with known communists and communist sympathizers that he has put into practice in the past year, his FIRST year as the New American CZAR! With his coven of lesser Czars, Obama has managed to emasculate Congress and make them tools of his all- powerful Czarist regime. Congress is meaningless, now, and have no use -- save for serving "Czar Obama."

America is in deep, deep, trouble. She is "in harm's way" from enemies foreign and domestic both of which I swore, as a soldier in the United States Army, to defend her against. But in truth, I must tell you that, as of this writing, I fear the enemy within far more than I fear the enemy without. We have only to gaze upon the White House and the Capitol Building in Washington, DC to observe them disassemble this republic and remake it in the image of a communist hell-hole of a third world country.

It’s Not Socialism. It’s Communism.

If you felt a frisson of fear on news that the Senate had passed Obamacare the day before Christmas, then you now know what it was and is like to live in a dictatorship. The voice of the People was ignored in a demonstration of raw political power.

There was a time when Americans took Communism seriously. It challenged us in the form of the Soviet Union and we witnessed its takeover of China.

In Europe, uprisings against Soviet rule were crushed in East Germany in 1953, Hungary in 1956, Czechoslovakia in 1968, and Poland in the 1980s gave proof that only oppression can sustain this failed economic and political system. President Reagan gave voice to it when he called the Soviet Union an “evil empire.”

The McCarthy hearings in the 1950s proved a setback for efforts to learn how thoroughly infiltrated the U.S. government had become by Communists, not because Sen. Joseph McCarthy was wrong, but because he proved a poor spokesperson for the cause. He was easily criticized for his bombast, but the declassification of the Venona papers, secret communications between Soviet spymasters and their agents, revealed he may well have underestimated the threat.

Later, the Russian Federation declassified former Soviet spy agency records that further confirmed that many Americans, dedicated Communists, were working to undermine our government.

The price America paid in part for the Great Depression of the 1930s was the undermining of faith in the Capitalist system among many Americans.

Unions arose, not just in response to worker grievances, but also because their leaders were frequently sympathetic to Communism. The FDR and subsequent administrations introduced Social Security and Medicare, tapping into the fears of those who had experienced the Depression with programs that vastly expanded the federal government, characterizing them as the ultimate “safety net.” Then Congress plundered the trusts that were supposed to fund both programs. Both programs are insolvent.

A recent study by Paul Hollander, a professor emeritus of sociology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an associate at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University, was published by Cato Institute’s Center for Global Liberty & Prosperity. It is titled, “Reflections on Communism: Twenty Years after the Fall of the Berlin Wall.”

The celebration of the fall of the Berlin Wall earlier this year was attended by many world leaders with the notable exception of President Barack Obama. For a man who has visited more foreign nations in his first year in office than any previous President, the decision to avoid this significant anniversary was taken as one more signal of his true political and economic agenda.

We know that he was greatly influenced by Marxists or people who viewed Communism sympathetically, not the least of which were his grandparents who introduced him to a mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Communist Party USA.

Obama wrote that he was drawn to Marxists among his teachers in college. He began his political career in the home of former Weatherman Bill Ayers. These days he is praised by Communists in Cuba and Venezuela. He sided with a Leftist former president of Honduras who tried to illegally alter its constitution. The Hondurans had the courage to cast him out.

The specter of Communist subversion of the U.S. Constitution is staring us in the eye with the so-called healthcare “reform” of Medicare; it includes all manner of provisions that are unconstitutional and would expand federal government control over one-sixth of the nation’s economy. The bribery and thuggish pressures and threats against Democrat Senators and Representatives to pass the bill reveal a political leadership more devoted to ideology than the will of the People.

Specifically, President Obama’s drive for a single payer system is the direct result of the influence of Dr. Quentin Young, a retired physician with a long history of commitment to Communism. In 1995, Dr. Quentin was among those who met in the Hyde Park home of Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn to launch Obama’s political career.

As Prof. Hollander points out in his study, “Not only individual intellectuals but entire professional associations have expressed favorable attitudes toward communist systems” citing the Latin American Studies Association that has “repeatedly taken positions supportive of Castro’s Cuba and Sandinista Nicaragua.” In 1990, the Organization of American Historians defeated a motion that expressed regret that the organization “never protested the forced betrayal of the historian’s responsibility to truth imposed upon Soviet and East European historians by their political leaders.”

The recent United Nations’ Climate Change Conference refused to take notice of the revelations that the data on which the “global warming” theory is based was falsified by a handful of meteorologists and climatologists in an effort to impose a global governing system. The interim first Secretary General of the UN was Alger Hiss, an American and secret Soviet agent

It did not escape notice that Venezuela’s communist dictator, Hugo Chavez, received a rousing ovation when he spoke at the conference or that President Obama continues to repeat the lies surrounding the discredited “global warming” fraud.

Virtually the entire agenda of American environmental organizations has been focused on an attack on private property rights and denying Americans access to their vast reserves of energy in the form of coal, oil, and natural gas, thus undermining U.S. growth and prosperity.

Unlike Prof. Hollander who escaped Hungary following the crushing of the 1956 revolution by Soviet forces, “Western intellectuals who remain attracted to communist ideals never had the disillusioning experience of living in an actual communist or socialist society.”

Among them we must number much of the nation’s media that has been a party to political and environmental deceptions, and the Hollywood community that has produced many films to influence public opinion about the earlier efforts to address Communist activities and later Green issues with a very Red agenda.

The Medicare “reform” expands “socialism” in America, but it is an example of naked Communism at work. It is a bill put together behind closed doors and so extensive its control of the lives of Americans literally determines who lives and who dies. It will wreck the best healthcare system in the world albeit one that has its flaws.

It is authoritarianism at work, the kind we associate with regimes in Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and everywhere else Communism has been imposed on captive nations.

Healthcare “reform” is not about uninsured Americans. It is not “socialism.” It is Communism, effectively putting the entire nation’s healthcare system under state control. It must be defeated just as past generations of Americans knew the threat of Communism and devoted the nation’s treasure and even their lives to defeat it.

Oh, please tell me you did not buy the lies out of Washington that the government is going to tax the rich to pay for Socialized Medicine otherwise known as ObamaCare? Surely you didn't fall for that!

Heck, I seriously doubt there are enough rich people in the US to make a dent in what that Communist program called ObamaCare is going to cost the citizens of the US.

If I were among the rich of this country, I'd be staying up nights transferring my assets off shore and getting myself, my family, my business, and, anything the government could tax, out of their reach. What the current government of the US is doing to the wealthy Americans is flat out wrong. It is thievery by another name... taxes.

Americans are so ignorant of their history that it is inexcusable -- no worse! It is embarrassing! . Americans have forgotten this country fought a war for independence over, what else, TAXES! This country was founded as a result of a TAX REVOLT! What the current federal government is doing to the citizens of the US makes King George look like a shirker!

I hope those of you who voted for Obama are happy. You wanted change. Well, you got it. From a democracy to a socialist nation in less than a year. Hope? What hope? We are screwed for at least three more years. The bunch of clowns and fruitcakes running the Congress are pathetic socialists/communists/democrats lusting after power and nothing else.

Guess what they are about to do? No I don't mean Amnesty for the Illegal Aliens living among us... although that is certainly coming. I mean the load of taxes they are about to slap on the middle class of this country.

Do you know what a VAT tax is? Huh? It is a Value added Tax. Sometimes referred to as a "sales tax".

In an Article entitled: "Damn the Deficit: Full Speed Ahead on Health Care", Michael Barone said the following:

"The instrument they may have in mind is the value added tax, which operates as an invisible sales tax on goods and services. Back in May, Budget Director Peter Orszag's spokesman mentioned the VAT as a "credible idea" that he did not want to rule out. In June, House Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel suggested a VAT as "a point of discussion."

In September, John Podesta, head of the Obama transition team, spoke of how a VAT would "create a balance" with other economies, and White House adviser Paul Volcker cited a carbon tax and a VAT as ways to raise lots of revenue. In October, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, "Somewhere along the way, a value-added tax plays into this." " You may read the entire article at:

A Value Added Tax is a tax on the estimated market value added to a product or material at each stage of its manufacture or distribution, ultimately passed on to the consumer. Please read that last phrase again. "Passed on to the consumer."

Socialists/communists/progressives/democrats do no understand that businesses do not pay taxes. The government actually THINKS THEY DO! Those of us who have actually run businesses understand that a business passes the cost of taxes along to his customers in higher prices for the goods and/or services his business produces or offers.

The attraction of a VAT tax to our government is twofold. One: It will raise a lot of money for them to squander. Two: it is a hidden tax -- hidden from you, the consumer, the sucker. Prices on goods and services will sky rocket while, at the same time, sales of those products will fall through the floor. Soon afterwards business will begin shuttering plants and offices and the unemployment figures will spike upwards even more than then the real figures, I am convinced the government is not releasing. (10.2%? Come on, now. Figure closer to 13% maybe even higher.)

Taxes, taxes, and even more taxes are coming to the American middle class. If the ObamaCare bill passes, you are not going to believe how much that "free" healthcare is going to cost you! Some of us, like myself, with chronic diseases will pay for it with our lives.

We can stop some of the coming taxes by stopping ObamaCare in the Senate in the next few days.

Contact your Senators and your Representative, ASAP, and tell them, in no uncertain terms, that you want them to vote against ObamaCare and any, and all, new taxes. We have to cut off the money and starve this government into submission.

And be prepared, America. Our economic situation is going to get a lot worse before it gets any better. When inflation sets in, sometime around mid-year 2010, your money and mine with be worth a whole lot less than it is today.

But, hey! America wanted "CHANGE!" Well, what do you think of the change now???

Let’s look at the definition of the word “covet.”

According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary the word “covet” means -- to desire (what belongs to another) inordinately or culpably -- or to feel inordinate desire for what belongs to another. Therein lie the roots of socialism -- to crave that which belongs to another. Without covetousness there would be no socialism. So -- to be a practioner of socialism one is in direct defiance of the Ten Commandments. Those of the Judeo-Christian religious persuasion should pay close attention to what Americans and our government is doing these days.

As a country boy I was raised not to covet the wealth, fame, or material possessions of my fellow human beings. Instead, I was taught to be happy for them and to work hard, play by the rules, and I, too, had a shot at making something of myself and maybe, just maybe, attaining a degree of wealth for myself and my family.

Granted, my formative years took place before the halfway point of the last century. Granted, also, it was a different America back then. It was a strong America, an America that understood it’s Christian foundation. There was no question about that. None. Covetous people were frowned upon and shunned. Oftimes, those with a covetous bent were involved in crimes of theft or other nefarious schemes to obtain for themselves that which they coveted. More often than not they wound up in jail.

Today, in America, a socialist government reinforces covetousness. Our leaders tell us that all persons in America are entitled to exactly the same standard of living as everybody else. They tell us that everyone is entitled to a college education, that everyone is entitled to the same medical care, and the list of entitlements goes on and on.

A covetous person is a weak person. A covetous nation is a weak nation. A socialist nation is a weak nation. Try checking your reference books for great socialist nations. I dare say you will find none.

Today, in America, we are taught that it is all right to punish companies and families that are prosperous. We are taught that they must share their wealth with us, who have less wealth than they. We are taught that it’s OK to force them to hand over as much of their wealth as we deem necessary to assuage our craving for it. We are taught that it is wrong for those companies and/or families to move to another country, and/or to move their companies to another country so as to be able to keep that which they have earned and that which rightfully belongs to them. We are taught that that which belongs to them does not, in fact, belong to them but to us, collectively, spread around evenly. And we are pleased when those from whom we have taken their fortune are brought low to the common denominator of society, a class of citizen, which is nothing more than a ward of the state, a serf, if you please in a modern day feudal system. And we are told that everyone will be happy when we all suffer equally.

This is socialism, dear reader, and it is where the government in power in Washington today is taking America.

To go a bit farther – Socialism is a form of “humanism.” Socialism is an economic system based on covetousness. Covetousness, as we said above, is craving that which is not ours, that which does not belong to us, yet we desire it. That is in direct violation of Christian teaching.

I am about to put on my black frock coat and turn my collar around and step into my pulpit for a moment to try to make the next point. Actually, I ran across this at a site called: “Christian Confusion.” You’ll find it HERE. The author I am about to quote from is Bob Stenson. Mr. Stenson says the following: “Collectivism appears to be an attempt to establish the Kingdom of God on earth, but without King Jesus. Attempts to create Socialist or Communist governments are extensions of Humanism, not something that the Church is about. It’s no wonder that we see such self-righteousness, contempt for Christ and His followers, slander and the bearing of false witness, and violence from those who promote Socialism and Communism.

Socialism and Communism are also closely associated with cult Liberalism, which is based in the unreasonable belief that natural goodness is inherent in humanity. Liberalism is mainly a human goodness cult that redefines evil as goodness and redefines goodness as evil.”
Mr. Stenson goes on to say: “It is God’s option to redistribute the wealth. He didn’t put that work into the hands of human beings.

In addition, these Socialist systems seem to always become systems that make state the god, cruel systems of government that usually make it illegal to follow Jesus Christ.
For the reasons listed here, Christians should not be putting their efforts into establishing these evil systems.”

I began thinking about this a couple of weeks ago when I heard someone on TV remark that when you had a society in which some had very little while others seem to have everything, there was bound to be strife. Those aren’t the exact words, of course, but close. The point is -- I began to wonder why anyone would covet what another has.

Now, I’m no saint. And from time to time, as a frail human, I covet. Maybe it is a fine automobile, a beautiful home, or something as mundane as a brand spanking new computer -- with all the bells and whistles. But, my childhood teaching steps in and stops me when it comes to craving that which belongs to another.

Socialism, on the other hand, would have you believe that coveting -- craving for that which is not yours, which you did not earn, which belongs by right to another, is OK. To encourage you in that regard, they reinforce, at every opportunity, your belief that you are entitled to it. For IF you believe that you are entitled to it, you are far more likely to grant the government the power it needs to take it from those who have it and dole it out to those who do not. Now, I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I must tell you, that smacks of plain, old-fashioned THEFT to this old country boy!

Socialism is based on Godless greed and deceit. THAT is why it is doomed to failure every time it is tried. That is why every country that stoops so low as to try it inevitable crumbles from the core and implodes into it’s own hollowness. And that is exactly what will happen to America if she does not save herself from the current ongoing attempt to force her into blind acceptance of a socialist government bent on securing for itself more and more power over your life and the lives of your fellow American citizens.

One objective survey of our current unpleasant economic and unemployment situations in America should satisfy anyone that America is on the long slide into socialist oblivion. Even more frightening is what so many of us fear. We fear that we have only just begun that slide and more crumbling into mediocrity is in our immediate future.

Americans must be ready to fight back at the polls in 2010. If we are to save what is left of our country by November 2010, we must vote out as many of the socialists as we possible can.

Over the past few months we have attempted to warn you about the freedom Americans will lose if the Healthcare bills, which have come to known as ObamaCare, are passed into law by the US Congress. Yet, some of the latest polls show the American people are split almost fifty-fifty in favor of and against the bills now making their way through the Congress.

It is sad beyond measure how little modern day Americans treasure the freedom so many thousands, yea millions, of their fellow Americans have given their blood, their treasure, and even their lives to secure and to preserve just for them!

But, sadly, that is where we are in today’s America. We are but a shell of the America I grew up in. Taken as a whole, the modern day American nation is a pathetic 100th generation copy of the American nation of the 1940’s and 1950’s. Weak, apprehensive, apathetic, ignorant, fat, lazy, and just little frightened is a good description of America today. And that is a shame.

If you have ever observed a big, strong, strapping, young man killing himself with self-destructive behavior such as alcoholism or drug addiction while those who care for him warn him time and again about his destructive conduct and the certainty of his end, and you have watched as he deteriorates and crumbles in upon himself until he is a husk of the man he used to be, then you know how many of my generation view America today. Worse yet, we love her as did the friends of the hypothetical young man we mentioned above. It is painful to watch. But, that is where we are in America today.

America is bent on self-destruction and nothing, it seems, will save her.

For months now, we have warned that the ObamaCare bills are not about healthcare for Americans. They are about power for the government – power taken from the people and placed in the hands of government bureaucrats and apparatchiks, and czars, and administrators, and yes, even presidents.

While you are sitting at your computer pull up the Bill of Rights. Read the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th and 10th amendments to the US Constitution. If ObamaCare passes, America will, for all intents and purposes LOSE the freedoms granted under those amendments! That is how sinister ObamaCare really is.

America is looking at one of the largest transfers of power from the people of the country to the government in the history of democracy -- certainly in the history of America! And Americans are doing it willingly!

If ObamaCare passes into law, the US government will run your life! THAT is the bottom line.

There is an article by Michael Connelly titled: “The Truth about the Health Care Bills” which is a MUST READ. Mr. Connelly says he HAS READ the ENTIRE proposed House Bill 3200: “The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009.” In his article, Mr. Connelly says he has studied HB3200 with particular emphasis from his area of expertise, which is constitutional law. He says he was concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What he found was far worse than what he had heard or expected. Mr. Connelly goes on to say: “The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.” Mr. Connelly continues: “The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled.” As if that isn’t enough, Mr. Connelly says: “However, as scary as all of that it, it just scratches the surface.” (Emphasis mine.) (Please don’t skip over Mr. Connelly’s article. It is extremely important that you know and understand what so many of us have been warning America about concerning ObamaCare. You NEED to arm yourself with the information in Mr. Connelly’s article.)

Now, understand this: The Congress has the power, right now, to pass this bill into law. The only thing, in my opinion, holding them back, temporarily, is the fact that they lack “cover” which would be provided them by votes of key members of the Republican delegations to both houses of the Congress. The democrats do not want to have ONLY their names signed to this bill when the American people discover, down the road a bit, that they have been had and are the serfs of a socialist government in Washington, DC. But they are catching what can only be described as “pure hell” from the Far Left in America to pass it without Republican support and, in my opinion, at sometime before Christmas of 2009 they Will PASS THIS BILL -- unless Americans rise up, in righteous anger, and demand they pull the proposed bill and back down.

America is in perilous times. She stands at the threshold of becoming a dictatorial, socialist, country. And all it will take is as the philosopher said: “… for good men to do nothing.”

The push to pass ObamaCare is far more dangerous to America than Osama bin Laden and his band of terrorists. This proposed bill will effective strip Americans of their birthright of freedom.

In the Scriptures Esau sells his birthright to Jacob, his twin brother, for a bowl of lentil stew. America’s birthright is being given to a government in exchange for a promise to provide healthcare for all – a promise that could be easily forgotten by the government with no fear of retaliation from a people who will then have no power to do a thing about it

It is ALL about POWER for the government and SERFDOM for the American people.

If there is any spine left in the American people, at all, they will rise up and demand that ObamaCare be completely squashed and all those power hungry men and women who are relentlessly pressing for this transfer of power into their hands will be turned out of the Congress in the election of 2010 and our current President will be asked for his immediate resignation. It is the only way to save our country.

As much as I dislike doing this, I am going to offer President Obama some sound advice, which I fully expect him to totally ignore. That advice is: “Get the hell out of Afghanistan!”

Just recently I published a piece, on my own blog, by my friend, Alan Caruba, calling for the same thing. Getting US troops out of Afghanistan is just another thing Alan and I agree on.

Maybe it is a generational thing. Both Alan and myself were in the military during the Vietnam War and both of us experienced what the wrong war in the wrong place can do to a military and to a country and we don’t want to see our country go through that again.

Having said all of the above, I fully expect President Obama to maintain US troops in Afghanistan and stand-by as they are chewed-up by twos and threes until, we have a death toll of Americans rivaling that of the Vietnam debacle.

Here’s the thing. We cannot win in Afghanistan.

I am a realist. I look at the facts and choose my position on a subject based upon those facts. I do not interject optimism into my decision-making in so far as taking a position or forming an opinion. When one does that and applies that process to the war effort in Afghanistan one can come up with only one inescapable truth -- and that is, we cannot win in Afghanistan.

This is not defeatism. Understand that. Of COURSE, the American military could, fairly easily, wipe that country off the map in short order. But, what would we have gained? As far as I can see, nothing of value to the US would be gained. Occupation of the country would, it seems to me, be nothing short of another decades long shooting war with our military bases becoming “Fort Apaches” in enemy territory. None of this takes into consideration the cost in dollars to the American economy.

The question, then, for our current President and Commander - in - Chief, is: why continue to feed our young men into a sausage grinder, such as Afghanistan, knowing full well that at some point, down the road from now, the Commander- in- Chief, in 2013, or beyond, will be ordering their withdrawal from that hell-hole? Saving face for Mr. Obama, or any President, is certainly not enough reason to spill the precious blood of American soldiers.

Afghanistan is not really a country. Not REALLY. Frankly, I’m not sure WHAT it is, but a country - it ain’t. It is sort of a no-man’s land with a conglomeration of tribes and/or clans usually at each other’s throat over some sort of “slight.” Their major industry is dope. Yep! “DOPE.” They grow beautiful fields of opium poppies -- and they sell it on the world market -- both the legal market and the black market. Get between them and their dope money and you are asking for serious trouble.

Afghanistan’s next-door neighbor, Pakistan, is where the serious threat to America lies. Pakistan already has nuclear weapons. Pakistan's Nuclear Weapons Program was established as far back as1974. Earlier this year, some American officials expressed concern that Pakistan is enlarging its nuclear weapons facilities. They fear that Pakistan is moving to increase its stockpile of fissile material. That would allow them to develop more destructive atomic weapons. Some experts are concerned that Pakistan may be in the early stages of creating thermonuclear weapons. Thermonuclear weapons are far more destructive and could be more easily developed to fit inside warheads.

As much as I hate the thought, it is entirely possible, and highly probable, that we will awaken one morning, in the not too distant future, to the news that Pakistan has been overrun by some terrorist organization, and those terrorists are in possession of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons. In fact, this is the ONLY reason, I can conceive of, for American troops to remain in Afghanistan. At least, America would have forward deployed troops -- just in case this very scenario became a reality.

If Obama is determined to keep America’s military engaged in Afghanistan, then he needs to huddle with the Pentagon and actually listen to the “fighting generals” and follow their advice. America has had more than enough of bureaucrats in Washington directing US troops in battle with an enemy. Mr. Obama should immediately drop any thought of “winning the hearts and minds” of the Afghans. It isn’t going to happen. Forget “nation building, too.

I am aware that I will earn the title of “Armchair General” by making this observation, but here goes, anyway. It seems to me that America has only two real choices in Afghanistan. Get out – or -- “fort-up” as near the Pakistan border as we can and with the use of electronic eavesdropping (otherwise known as “spying”) and “humint” or “human intelligence” gathering sources (That simply means spies on the ground in Pakistan) stay as well informed as is humanly possible so that threats to Pakistan’s’ nuclear weapons and their development program can be thwarted as quickly and efficiently as possible. Even that won’t be one hundred percent effective, but, at least, our efforts in Afghanistan will not be a total waste, as they certainly appear to be today.

Hard choices? You bet they are. But that is the reason the President gets the “big bucks,” the nice house, the nice cars, and even a primo aircraft to fly about the globe. And, we would go so far as to suggest that Mr. Obama kiss and make up with Israel, our only REAL friend in the Middle East. He may not like it, but, from the looks of the diplomatic struggles with Israel these days, there remains the very real chance we will need to use Israel’s military facilities in the event the war in that region becomes even hotter and even wider.

So now it is “Obama’s War.” It will make his administration -- or -- break his administration. If Mr. Obama has any doubts about that, at all, we suggest he pluck a few history books from the White House library and look up the Jimmy Carter Administration. Many of the problems America is trying to deal with today, in the Middle East, were inherited directly from the hapless Carter Administration. It will be a very long time, indeed, before the American electorate entrusts the lives of their young military assets to the likes of the Carter Administration ever again. Unfortunately for the America people, Mr. Obama exhibits a host of the Carter foibles and will cost the US, over time, an abundance of time, money, and American blood.

This is, admittedly, not an easy problem to deal with. But deal with it Obama must. We Americans and, indeed, the remainder of the world, both friend and foe alike, will have their eyes upon Obama observing, trying his metal, and looking for that single weakness Obama may display. They will be searching for a weakness they can exploit to bring even more death and destruction to America’s shores. We can only pray that Divine Providence will look mercifully upon America and extend his arm of protection around the US as He has so lovingly done in the past.

What will it take to convince Americans that the people we place in office ought to be of high moral character? I no longer think it is even possible. I no longer think Americans even care… as evidenced by the results of the presidential election, and numerous congressional elections, and even state and local elections around the country just last year.

We have become so accustomed to self serving, double-dealing, dishonest, greedy, callous, crafty, deceitful, duplicitous politicians that we now accept it as “normal”. What that says about Americans, as a people, is absolutely shameful. What it says about the future of America is terrifying!

I dare say ancient Rome was not as corrupt as America is today. We have managed to dumb down our populace, the voter base, the electorate, concerning what is expected of public servants, until we think nothing of electing to public office people of such low morals they ought not be allowed IN public, let alone serve in a public office. Nowadays, the use of the phrase “choosing the lesser of two evils,” when describing our choice of candidates, is in regular use… and we don’t even raise an eyebrow. Why? Because it is true!

James L. Buckley once said: ” What people fail to appreciate is that the currency of corruption in elective office is, not money, but votes.” He was spot on!

I am not surprised at the corruption of our politicians. How could I be? How could YOU be? It is we who elected them. It is we, the people of America, who bear the shame and the guilt for placing these people of low repute in offices that good men fought, bled, and died for on foreign and domestic battlefields to secure for us. Do we not understand that we have disgraced our heritage? Do we not understand that we have brought shame upon our ancestors, upon our forefathers, upon the Founders of this nation, and… upon ourselves for not being good citizens and good stewards of this priceless jewel of a country?

Too long have we abrogated our singular duty to study the foundations of this country, the constitution of this country, the legal/judiciary system of this country, and, just as important, the government of this country, and… the way that government was intended to operate. We haven’t done any of this.

Our public education system has failed, utterly, in educating our young about their heritage as Americans. It has failed at instilling pride in our young as Americans. The angry cries of “nationalism” have drowned out “patriotism” until one is frowned upon for any public display of pride in America. There is something intrinsically wrong about that! In modern day America education has been devalued while ignorance is celebrated… even unto the voting booth! It is revolting!

Yes, I am angry. It is an anger born of frustration. I am frustrated with my fellow Americans who absolutely refused to see that substance does trump style every time. The percentage of the electorate who voted to place a man in office, primarily because of the color of his skin and, secondly, his eloquent way with words, have done America a huge disservice. The cost is going to be monumental, biblical, even.

One of the great men of the American Revolution, Samuel Adams, said this: “The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.”

I would draw your attention to the last portion of the last sentence above: “… or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.” THAT is precisely where we find ourselves in America today. And we have no one, no one, to blame… but ourselves.

Are you ready for the years, immediately ahead, with tailgating scandals and stories of corruption and graft and the peccadilloes of powerful men unable to restrain themselves when let lose on an ignorant populace? You’d better be - for I am mighty afraid that is exactly where we are heading. The political shenanigans in Washington, to which we have, unfortunately, become accustomed, are, I’m afraid, only the tip of a vastly underestimated iceberg of such conduct. America’s ship of state is sailing directly into that iceberg.

Who Do You Trust More, Obama, or the CIA?

It is beginning to look as if those who warned the Obama Administration would be nothing more than a Chicago mob were correct in their assessment.

Frankly, I thought, at the time, that was stretching a little, but I have to say, their actions of late, especially their decision to go after the CIA for doing a superb job against terrorists after 9/11, speaks more of Obama’s insecurity than it does anything else.

Obama’s attack on the CIA is reminiscent of the actions of Caligula, the nutty, paranoid, Roman emperor who went after his own Praetorian Guard. Obama might do well to remember that Caligula brought about his own destruction, at the hands of that elite group of Roman security specialists, by making charges and threats against them.

When one steps back and takes the broad view of Obama’s actions and the actions of those within his cadre of “Czars” and “Secretaries” one can see a pattern emerging in which Obama is wrapping himself in his own security blanket because he does not trust anyone in a position of power not beholden to him, and to him alone, for that position and the power they wield.

These are the actions, dear reader, of a man deeply troubled, deeply flawed.

We, the American electorate, cannot say we were not warned for we most certainly were. Before the election we were warned that Obama presented as a narcissist. And the actions he is taking now are certainly those of a narcissist. His attack on the CUA will desfroy the American intelligence community while this nation is at war. For make no mistake about it, America is at war, and we will be at war, whether we want to be or not, for many decades into the future.

Intelligence is the way wars are won. Yes, our combat forces put their lives on the line in the heat of combat but the intelligence services provide the information upon which the war plans are based. Without intelligence our combat forces would not know where the enemy is and what the enemy’s strengths and weaknesses are, where his supplies and war making material is coming from, etc., etc. Intelligence is vital to winning any war. Plus, intelligence agencies are vital to the security of the homeland. According to published reports this is the agency that “produced life-saving intelligence that disrupted numerous terrorist plots.” In other published reports it was CIA that aborted terrorists attacks in the US that included al-Qaida “plots to fly airliners into buildings on the West Coast, setting off bombs in U.S. cities and planning to employ a network of Pakistanis to target gas stations, railroad tracks and even the Brooklyn Bridge.”

The bottom line is – now is definitely not the time to hamper the CIA and their brother and sister agencies as the toil to keep the American public safe. There are Americans alive today who otherwise would be dead had not the CIA been successful in their operations against al-Qaida and other terrorist organizations in the War on Terror.

There is only one reason I can see for Obama allowing the Attorney General to go forward with his investigation and that is raw fear on the part of Obama. It certainly appears as though he fears the CIA, personally, and is out to hamstring them in order to protect himself for some reason yet unknown to the American public. In doing so, it also demonstrates his lack of interest in the safety of his fellow Americans just as long as he, himself, can feel safe.

The Left’s vendetta against former President Bush and Vice President Dick Chaney smacks of a gang vendetta, as well. Their constant attempts to have the two former leaders of the US branded as “war criminals” will backfire on them, big time.

Look, the US is as divided as I have ever seen it - and that includes during the Vietnam War. If Obama and the socialist left in power in Congress want to tear the country to pieces and bring the ire of the American people down on their heads for decades to come then the course they have chosen will certainly accomplish that.

Slowly, but surely Obama’s true colors are beginning to show and the American people do not like what they are seeing. That explains his huge drop in the polls. It is unfortunate that it has taken this long and is very troubling that the American electorate ignored all the warnings from those of us who saw through the smokescreen so carefully laid by the mainstream media in the US and even worldwide that was meant to shield Obama from the prying eyes of those, like myself, who saw him for what he was and what he is.

The bill is coming due. It will take America generations to pay for the harm and the damage to this country caused by the Obama regime and the socialists in the Congress and those Obama brought with him into the Administration.

It didn’t have to happen.

A Lying Liar.......LIES!

Experts Dispute Some Points in Health Talk

President Obama showed great fluency in the intricate details of health policy at his news conference on Wednesday night, but experts said some of his points were debatable.

Mr. Obama said doctors, nurses, hospitals, drug companies and AARP had supported efforts to overhaul health care.

Now, I must ask.....why would AARP, made up of the elderly, endorse a bill that would pretty much ask them to check out 'voluntarily'....as least for the moment. At the rate things are going, I'm guessing at some point in time, there will be a requirement for us all to report to a 'termination center', ala Soylent Green.

While it is true the American Medical Association has endorsed a bill drafted by House Democratic leaders, a half-dozen state medical societies have sharply criticized provisions that would establish a new government-run health insurance plan.

Likewise, Mr. Obama said Medicare could save large amounts of money by creating “an independent group of doctors and medical experts who are empowered to eliminate waste and inefficiency” and hold down the annual increases in payments to health care providers.

If he freakin' kidding? One of the biggest wastes of money is the bureaucracy that is Medicare, and any other gubmint run agency.

Far from supporting this proposal, the American Hospital Association is urging hospital executives to lobby against it.

Go figure. His lips move....and all you hear are lies. Is he not aware that we aren't all fawning at his feet? Does the concept of NO, we don't want your socialized medicine, one of the most ineffectual health care systems in world?

Of the proposed new cost-control agency, Mr. Obama said: “It’s not going to reduce Medicare benefits. What it’s going to do is to change how those benefits are delivered so that they’re more efficient.”

We're talking more bureaucracy, not less, and when there is more, you get more costs. The man has never run a business, or any sort, in his entire life....how the hell would he know? I question his ability to even balance a checkbook.

“If we had done nothing, if you had the same old budget as opposed to the changes we made,” the deficit over the next 10 years would be $2.2 trillion greater, the president said.

If we had "done nothing", odds are, the economy would be making a come back, and we wouldn't be hitting double digit unemployment!

In fact, $1.5 trillion of those “savings” are mainly based on an assumption that the United States would have had as many troops in Iraq in 10 years as it did when Mr. Obama took office. But before leaving office, President George W. Bush signed an agreement with Baghdad mandating the withdrawal of all American forces within three years.

So Mr. Obama is claiming credit for not spending money that, under the policy he inherited from Mr. Bush, would never have been spent in the first place.

Sorry Obummer. YOU own this mess, of YOUR creation. Continuing to blame Bush for your own stupidity is getting REAL old! Grow up! Take responsibility for YOUR actions.

Oh.....silly me! I'm expecting a spoiled, narcissistic, socialist democrat to behave like an adult? How foolish!
