The Coming US/Mexico War

The Coming US/Mexico War
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

At some point in the near future, the US will be forced to invade Mexico – again!

There is a war going on in Mexico and the Mexican government has shown no capability of containing or winning the bloody conflict.

Mexico today resembles more a wartime Vietnam than it does a country at peace. That is because there is no peace in Mexico.

The US cannot continue to look the other way and pretend that the Mexican government can control the violence wrought by drug cartels, drug gangs, and just plain ole “outlaws.” The drug insurrection in Mexico is running up a body count that rivals that of the US wars in the Middle East. That, dear reader, is a full-blown war!

Americans who live in the states along the Southern Border of the US have a right to expect their government to protect them from marauding gangs and private Mexican outlaw armies. The extremely weak response from the Obama Regime to their pleas for assistance is a black mark on Obama’s record that will never fade.

The primary task of the US Government is National Defense. Protection of US citizens from invasion by other countries would certainly fall within that definition.

You think “invasion” is too strong a word? Then THINK AGAIN. The near incessant pouring of illegal aliens across the Mexican border into the US is straining our national treasury to the breaking point.

We really do not know how many illegal aliens from Mexico are now within the US. Oh, the government issues figures, but I suspect the figures they publicly espouse are “low-ball” figures.

Many suspect those “undocumented immigrants” are really “undocumented democrats.” How else to explain the democrats unceasing drive to grant them citizenship with such bills as “The Dream Act” widely expected to be introduced in the US Senate, by the democrats, during the on-going lame duck session of Congress?

The Dream Act must be defeated

One of the most important steps the new Congress can take is to build the fence along the border with Mexico and the US. In addition, the US military should be tasked with the security of that border with armed troops allowed to use deadly force to stop illegal entry into the US.

Even if that were done, I suspect it will not be enough. The armed Mexican gangs, and those private drug armies, will certainly challenge the border defenses until they are neutralized. The only way to do that is for the President to order an armed invasion of Mexico to hunt down and destroy the drug kingpins and wipe out their gunmen -- to the last man.

In fact we may find it necessary to occupy a strip of northern Mexico to serve as a buffer zone. The point is, the US needs to do whatever is necessary to stop the land invasion of US territory by illegal aliens and to guarantee the safety of US citizens along that border.

An invasion of Mexico by US military forces is not new. Our neighbor to the south has made a nuisance of itself many times before. In the mid 1840’s and again in early 1900’s, US forces have been ordered into Mexico. You can bet there are contingency plans for just such an invasion on file at the Pentagon.

Call it a “Police Action,” if you will. We cannot continue to allow our neighbor’s war to spill over into US territory endangering US citizen’s lives and property. Armed US troops on the US/Mexico border would go a long way toward lessening the tension in the Border States and cooling the tempers of property owners along the border.

Americans have a history of stepping-in and stepping-up when their government, for whatever reason, fails to act to protect them. It is only a matter of time before there are armed clashes between Mexican citizens and American citizens along the border. It takes no crystal ball to see that future unfold. The violence along the border is escalating and that violence is being imported -- along with the illegal drugs flooding across the border into the US. It MUST be STOPPED.

It is clear the Obama Regime is totally incapable of bringing pressure to bear on the Mexican government. Obama is such a weak President he is being “rolled” by practically every nation he seeks to deal with around the globe. It is a fact that a weak US President invites trouble by emboldening our foes everywhere. It is also clear that Obama’s weakness as a leader is adding fuel to the conflagration along the US/Mexico border.

Americans are now aware of the terrible mistake they made by electing Obama to the Office of President in 2008 and they intend to correct that mistake in November of 2012. But that is two years away. SOMETHING needs to be done NOW before there is a massive bloodletting as the result of a skirmish between armed Mexicans and armed US citizens. Mark my words – it is going to happen -- sooner rather than later.

A strong American President could stop a war between Mexico and the United States. Problem is – AMERICA DOES NOT HAVE A STRONG PRESIDENT. We intend to correct that error in 2012.

First rule of National Security: Secure the Borders!

First rule of National Security: Secure the Borders!
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet
*****************************
Ok, so I AM just an old country boy. But it seems to me that the fist step in national security, securing the country from those who would do us harm, is keeping them OUT of the country in the first place! That means securing the borders of our nation. If we don’t we won’t have a nation much longer.

We have often said the borders of the US could be secured, almost overnight, IF the government wanted to do so. But they don’t. The evidence is right before our eyes. That evidence? The borders aren’t secured!

Look, the US secures OTHER countries’ border overseas. Take Korea for example. Now we learn that the US government has agreed to assist Saudi Arabia in defending it’s border with Yemen! (SOURCE) For decades we protected West Germany’s border with East Germany, etc.

If federal law forbids the placement of US troops on the US borders, then we need to make the changes necessary to do just that.

Understand this: When I say US troops on the border, I mean armed combat-trained soldiers with the authority to use deadly force to protect US citizens from those illegally crossing into the United States.

I know that will not sit well with many of the readers of this piece, but the fact is, the people of the US are in serious danger from terrorists crossing our borders intent on doing as much damage, and taking as many American lives as they possible can -- even at the cost of their own lives.

God bless the state of Arizona for demonstrating the intestinal fortitude to go head to head with the federal government and pass a state law authorizing their own police to do the job our poor excuse for a federal government simply will not do. I feel sure Arizona will prevail at the Supreme Court. If they do, many other states will follow suit.

Politics is behind the Obama Regime and the Democratic Party dragging their feet on border security.

When you break it down it is simple to see. The Democratic Party has adopted so much of the socialist platform the American people are turning their backs on them in droves. Their only hope of winning elections in the future is with their base. They need, desperately, to grow that base.

The fastest growing portion of the base of voters for the Obama Regime and the Democratic Party is the African-American/Hispanic block of voters. With an unsecured southern border, the Obama Regime and the Democratic Party are holding the door wide-open for more Hispanics to cross, illegally, into America -- and eventually become democratic voters.

If we EVER hope to secure the borders of America, we must show the democrats the door and oust as many as we possible can in the Mid-Term Election this coming November -- and again in November of 2012. We must break their grip on power in the United States government.

Weak Obama Government Suffers Repeated Violations of US Airspace

Weak Obama Government Suffers Repeated Violations of US Airspace
Obama’s America a “Toothless Tiger.”
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet
*************************

Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas claims “… … to have seen photographs taken by local sheriffs of Mexican military helicopters in action over U.S. territory. One copter was photographed hovering over a building; the other over a recreational vehicle park, according to the Examiner's Barbara Hollingsworth. "We don't know what their intention was," Poe told Hollingsworth, adding: "The Mexican military has no business coming into the United States." (SOURCE)

“The apparent apathy of President Obama and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano is inexplicable. Texas Gov. Rick Perry recently asked Napolitano to dispatch unmanned surveillance drones and 1,000 additional U.S. soldiers to boost federal Border Patrol agents and local sheriffs in the effort to protect the border. Instead of heeding Perry's warning, Napolitano instead canceled the "virtual" border surveillance project approved under the Bush administration. That decision virtually leaves Perry and the governors of Arizona, New Mexico and California to cope with the increasing flood of illegal immigrants, drugs, money and guns coming over the border from Mexico.” (SOURCE)

There is an article entitled: “Violence on the border endangers Americans” at the Washington Examiner which you will find here (SOURCE). We urge you to click over to this site and read it. It is an editorial opinion and an important one.

As far as I am concerned and, I believe, the US Constitution demands, the primary task of the US Government is National Defense. Protection of US citizens from invasion by other countries would certainly fall within that definition.

Allow me to pose a question: What will the US government do when one of our US citizens raises his deer rifle and takes out the stabilizing propeller on the tail of one of those Mexican Army Helicopters and brings it down causing the death of those Mexican military personnel within? Don’t want to go there – do you?

Maybe I should ask: How long before the scenario above actually becomes a fait accompli? It WILL happen -- if the Mexicans continue to invade US airspace. I mean, it is recognized, internationally, as an act of war. (Yes, I have to ask: Are those Mexican helicopters the same helicopters paid for by U.S. taxpayers and given to Mexico by the U.S. government which are now being used to invade U.S. airspace? It is a fair question – is it not?)

If it is possible to be a bigger “wuss” than President Jimmy Carter was – then Obama certainly is. The man has bared the chest and neck of America to its enemies.

It will be a miracle if America is not invaded by a foreign power before the American electorate can get Obama out of the Oval Office.

America cannot survive with a weakling as President. America has a perpetual bulls eye painted on its back and we are the target for all sorts of mischief -- including invasion by our southern neighbor.

Just a few days ago I heard a radio talker, not a political talker, express his thoughts that the US should just make Mexico the 51st state and be done with it. More Americans than you might think are expressing that same feeling these days.

Nothing will be done to secure our borders until we are rid of the Utopian seeking Hippies in charge of the US Government today. That chance is coming -- Judgment Day -- November 2nd, 2010.

I hope it is a short summer.

Local officials to ask senators for border security funds

Local officials to ask senators for border security funds
WASHINGTON (AP) — A mayor whose town sits on the U.S. border with Mexico wants federal lawmakers to provide more money for border agents and dogs to help curb cross-border trafficking of drugs, guns and humans.

Chad Foster, mayor of Eagle Pass, Texas, says President Obama's budget request for 2010 doesn't have enough money for key border needs.

In remarks prepared for delivery to a Senate subcommittee on Wednesday, Foster says an additional 1,600 Customs and Border Protection officers and 400 canine units are needed along the nation's southwestern border to stop illegal immigration and the smuggling of arms, drugs and money.

The mayor and other border officials, along with federal immigrations and border officials, are due to appear before the Senate Judiciary subcommittee on immigration, refugees and border security.

Full Story Here:

Local officials to ask senators for border security funds
Asking the U.S. Senate to help on this is a JOKE.

Texas Senators John Cornyn and Kay Bailey Hutchison both CLAIM to be Conservative Republicans, that is a bald, open faced LIE. Both are, at best, RINOs of the 1st order. At worst, both of them are just more Arlen Specter wannabes.

Hutchison is an AMNESTY supporter and has serious issues with border security, actually having border security that is. She made that abundantly clear some time back, Hutchison has fought long and hard to stop a border fence from being built on the U.S. side of the Mexican border,
Hutchison on defensive over border fence and Hutchison was an ardent supporter of the Immigrant Dream Act, another *back door* attempt at amnesty for ILLEGALS, Immigrant ‘Dream’ Act Fails Key Senate Vote.
Senators are expected to ask about the surveillance technology being used in remote areas between border crossings, law enforcement operations and what is being done to stem illegal immigration.
Might I make a suggestion? How about these Senators, including Hutchison and Cornyn, our Texas Senators, get off of their lazy asses and spend a few nights riding shotgun with the U.S. Border Patrol. Maybe Janet Napolitano needs to work a few shifts at a border crossing, or ride a few days, on horseback, taking a 1st hand look at what REAL law enforcement is, and what it's members are facing!
The Obama administration has promised to crack down on border violence and work with Mexican authorities against drug cartels. Hundreds of federal agents, along with high-tech surveillance gear and drug-sniffing dogs, are being deployed to the Southwest.
Work WITH the Mexicans? Seriously? Doesn't Obama realize that most of the money that the U.S. has sent to Mexico to be used for work against the drug cartels has ended up in the hands OF the drug cartels?

Sending hundreds of federal agents, along with high-tech surveillance gear and drug-sniffing dogs to help secure the border is a great thing, a marvelous effort, in theory. Our TAX base is over taxed as is. Our prison systems are FULL. Do we really want to catch, and lock up, for several years, these Mexican and Central/South American drug smugglers? Do we really want to place that increased tax burden on the citizens of this nation? The burden of housing, feeding, guarding and providing medical care for the animals that smuggle their poisons into this nation?

I suppose the bleeding heart libbers do. I suppose certain faux Conservatives may support these worthless pieces of humanity being given a vacation at Club Fed, but I don't. Secure our borders, man those borders with the troops that are being wasted in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea and Germany, bring them home and let them do the job that must be done.

Secure our borders and protect the American people. It's NOT that hard to figure out, you've just got to have the guts to get the job done. Sadly, it's been many years since we had an American president, or senators and congressmen, with that kind of guts. They all seem to be too concerned with political correctness and getting re-elected, that is, after all, a lot more important that doing the job they were sent to Washington to actually DO!
